We specialize in whole-body, therapeutic care with a focus on massage therapy including prenatal massage, pelvic floor therapy, prenatal and postpartum care, and return-to-sport physical therapy. There is ample street parking available, as well as a parking lot located at the rear of the building. Additionally, you can find more parking one block over on Lawndale Avenue, just beyond the small shopping center with a sign reading “Parking for 600 Wyndhurst.” Please avoid parking in the private lot across the street from that location.

Will insurance cover pelvic floor therapy?

We are out-of-network for most insurance plans but submit claims on your behalf. Coverage varies by plan, but we also accept HSA/FSA payments.

What is done during pelvic floor therapy?

Sessions are typically one hour long and include an evaluation of your concerns, followed by hands-on treatment and personalized exercises to address your specific needs. 

When should you start pelvic floor therapy during pregnancy?

Pelvic floor therapy can be started at any point during pregnancy, but many healthcare providers recommend beginning as soon as possible if experiencing symptoms such as urinary leakage, pelvic pain, or pressure.

What does a postpartum physical therapist do?

A postpartum physical therapist specializes in helping individuals recover after childbirth by addressing musculoskeletal issues, pelvic floor dysfunction, and overall body strength.

When to see pelvic floor PT postpartum?

If you have any concerns or symptoms, we recommend calling for a free 15 minute consultation with one of our DPTs. At that time, we may recommend you follow up with your OB/GYN, or suggest our postpartum telehealth service. But typically we wait until patients are cleared by their physicians at 6 weeks.

Can you fix diastasis recti with physical therapy?

Yes, diastasis recti (abdominal separation) can be effectively treated with physical therapy in most cases. A pelvic floor physical therapist can guide you through targeted exercises to strengthen the deep core muscles, restore proper function, and reduce the abdominal gap.

Clinical Director & Physical Therapist

Dr. Mandy Rose PT, DPT, is a board-certified Women’s Health Clinical Specialist (WCS); one of only 14 PTs in the state of Maryland with this prestigious specialist certification. She has a certificate in Dry Needling and is a lead in Indigo’s education and mentorship program. Dr. Mandy received her Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Texas Woman’s University (TWU) in Dallas, TX and works out of our Roland Park, Baltimore City location.

Dr. Mandy is passionate about treating the Abdominopelvic Health population for all sexes and genders and was fortunate to receive mentorship from renowned board-certified specialists in the Dallas/Fort Worth (DFW) metroplex. Having completed a rigorous one-year post-professional program at TWU, Dr. Mandy earned a Certificate in Advanced Women’s Health Physical Therapy. In both 2020 and 2021, Dr. Mandy was nominated by her patients and received the “Mom Approved Wellness Professionals Award” from Dallas Fort Worth Child magazine.

Dr. Mandy is a mom herself, and her experiences during pregnancy, postpartum and motherhood have further ignited her passion for ensuring birthing people and caregivers in all phases of life receive the care they need. Dr. Mandy is also committed to raising awareness about the benefits of Abdominopelvic Health for men, a population that often does not know they can receive or seek out this care. Dr. Mandy is grateful to all her clients for allowing her to join and guide them on what can often be a vulnerable journey, and she is honored to be a part of their “village.”

Dr. Mandy is excited to be back on the East Coast and, when not working, enjoys spending time with her children and pilot husband [when he’s not flying], and making up for lost time with her extended family in the area.

Physical Therapist

Dr. Erin Eberle is a physical therapist at the Roland Park location. She graduated from the University of Mississippi with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy and has worked in outpatient settings throughout Baltimore. Dr. Eberle’s experience has made it clear to her the importance of treating the whole person, highlighting in-depth musculoskeletal and neuromuscular knowledge. She realizes how valuable pelvic floor rehabilitation is for addressing muscular imbalance throughout the body, especially pertaining to back pain and jaw dysfunction.

Dr. Eberle has a special interest in working with pelvic pain, pregnant and postpartum patients. She advocates that everyone deserves high-quality care after giving birth. Dr. Eberle is a certified manual physical therapist that specializes in dry needling. She is well-versed in soft tissue mobilization, scar tissue cupping, and joint manipulations to address muscular and postural imbalances. Dr. Eberle has had extensive experience in treating headaches, jaw, and neck pain. She values hands-on physical therapy and individualized, achievable treatment plans for each patient.

Dr. Eberle became a mama this year. While not at work, she is enjoying her little son with her partner. She is on her own postpartum journey and is reacclimating to distance running and bouldering.

Dr. Lizzy Purcell Daniel received her B.A. in Dance from Goucher College which laid the foundation for her understanding of movement and body mechanics. She then danced professionally throughout the Baltimore area and completed the rigorous Romana’s Pilates certification program. Dr. Lizzy has been teaching classical Pilates in the Baltimore area since 2014 and frequently integrates Pilates principles and exercises into her physical therapy practice. Driven by her passion for helping others, she pursued further education and earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore where her interest in pelvic floor rehabilitation began. While treating in outpatient orthopedics, Dr. Lizzy has honed her manual therapy skills and completed further education in pelvic floor rehabilitation through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute.

During her own pregnancies, Dr. Lizzy gained personal insight into the unique challenges and physical changes that occur during pregnancy and postpartum. This first-hand experience sparked her interest in treating those with issues related to the perinatal period including back, neck, and pelvic pain as well as diastasis recti and incontinence. Dr. Lizzy strongly believes that everyone deserves to live a full life without being limited by these conditions that are often considered “normal.” This is evident in her holistic approach that emphasizes assessing the body as whole to understand the root cause of a patient’s pain or dysfunction.

Outside of work, Dr. Lizzy enjoys spending time with her husband and two wonderful boys, discovering the best restaurants around Baltimore, and moving her body whether she’s hiking, running, or practicing Pilates.

Dr. Madison DeBetta earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from High Point University in North Carolina. Born and raised in North Carolina, she pursued her undergraduate education at The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, where she obtained degrees in Exercise and Sports Science and Cognitive Science. It was during this time that her passion for anatomy and physiology blossomed, as she worked closely with athletes and engaged in concussion research.

Through her diverse experiences and commitment to ongoing education, Dr. Madison has developed a strong dedication to helping individuals regain control and confidence in their bodies. Her enthusiasm for utilizing therapeutic techniques to enhance neuromuscular function extends to various patient populations, including those navigating pregnancy and postpartum recovery, individuals experiencing sexual dysfunction, those with bladder issues, and athletes seeking improved performance and recovery. She firmly believes that a holistic approach—considering both physical and emotional well-being—yields the best outcomes. By integrating evidence-based practices with personalized care, Dr. Madison empowers her patients on their recovery journeys. Her commitment to lifelong learning and professional development ensures she stays at the forefront of advancements in pelvic floor therapy, providing the highest standard of care to those she serves.

Dr. Alissa Klein (they/she) earned their Doctor of Physical Therapy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. They furthered their training to specialize in pelvic health physical therapy during their clinical rotations, through onsite training, and with coursework from the Herman & Wallace Institute and the APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy. Prior to joining Indigo, Dr. Alissa worked in a range of physical therapy settings from pediatrics to sports rehab in addition to pelvic health.

Dr. Alissa enjoys blending neuromuscular retraining with manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to optimize pelvic function in daily life. Dr. Alissa is experienced in working with people experiencing challenges with bladder and bowel dysfunction, sexual dysfunction, pelvic pain, and pregnancy and postpartum care, among other pelvic health needs. They also love integrating pelvic health principles with orthopedic treatment as body systems are often interrelated. Whatever the challenge, Dr. Alissa aims to help every person feel better in their body in the ways that are uniquely meaningful to them.

Dr. Alissa has a movement background in gymnastics, acrobatics and dance. Outside of work, they enjoy adventuring around Baltimore with their wife and two young children. They speak Spanish as well as English.

Traci Spacek is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a graduate of The Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore and has been a part of the Indigo family since 2020. Traci specializes in a variety of techniques including: pre and postnatal massage, myofascial release, scar massage and lymphatic drainage, deep tissue, visceral manipulation and breathwork. Her mission is to help her clients feel safe and at home in their bodies. Traci works closely with the Physical Therapists at Indigo to assist with muscular and somatic integration.

As a queer massage therapist, Traci believes strongly in client-centered, affordable, and affirming bodywork for all genders and body types. We all deserve to rest, to be cared for, and to live with less pain. Traci understands that sharing your body and your pain can be vulnerable, so working at the client’s speed and comfort level is a central tenet of her practice. Additionally, Traci has spent many years in childcare, working specifically with infants, young children, and supporting families on the challenging journey of child rearing.

Medina Walker is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a graduate of the Holistic Massage Training Institute in Baltimore, MD. She has also attended the A.A.S degree program in Massage Therapy at Anne Arundel Community College, and is currently furthering her education in public health at Western Governors University. Medina has additional certifications in stretch therapy, neuromuscular massage therapy, myofascial release, prenatal massage therapy, and cupping therapy.

Medina’s journey began with the birth of her first child, which went off without a hitch and taught her the value of a strong community of caretakers. Her second birth experience was not as supportive, and subsequently she knew she was destined to work in women’s health to ensure other birthing people have access to support and caretaking.

In 2022, The Shades of Blue Project honored Medina with the prestigious Good Heart Award during Black Maternal Health Week for her outstanding work in the birthing community. The Shades of Blue Project is dedicated to helping women of color before, during and after child-birth with community resources, mental health advocacy, treatment and support. Medina has also appeared in many esteemed magazines and publications, such as Motherly, Beauty Boost Baltimore, Voyage Baltimore, Fashion Week Online, and Jukebox Time. 

While Medina enjoys treating all bodies with therapeutic massage, her speciality is in pre- and postnatal massage and individuals suffering from chronic lower back pain.
